Abstract
Inter-pulse phase agility (IPPA) waveform attracts widespread attention for its capability to resolve range ambiguity and suppress clutter and jamming. Due to the superiority of IPPA, a waveform design method based on ambiguity function is proposed in this paper, which regularizes the optimization of weighted integrated sidelobe level (WISL) and peak sidelobe level (PSL) in interested range segments of ambiguity function under the same framework. The proposed method simplifies the objective by majorization-minimization method, then eliminates the constant modulus constraint through variable substitution and solves it with BFGS. Besides, an acceleration scheme for the proposed method is also raised. Through numerical simulations, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated.
